Months ago I posted about my girls weekend where we ventured back into the wonderful world of 90's music. Well our next time together {that may or may not have been 3 1/2 months ago}, we took it to another level and thought of ALL things "The 90's" and it feels way too nostalgic not to share with you.
Today I'll share the TV shows and Movies that defined the 90's for me. For some of you who aren't in your mid to late 20's, these may seem juvenile but for those of us who had the glory years of our childhood during the 90's, I hope that these will bring back some memories.

Mark Summers. Gosh he was cool. I could go back and watch episode for hours... mostly for the clothes and hair.

17. MTV was at the forefront of "reality" shows with Real World & Road Rules. And I know we all had a crush on Carson Daily and couldn't get home fast enough to watch TRL. BUT Singled Out takes the cake. I LOVED watching this show. And let me say after watching a clip of it again, I was WAY too young. I mean sleeze to the max. Thank goodness all of the crudeness was over my head. BUT if you want a good laugh, check out the hair and clothes.

15. You can't talk 90's TV without touching on all of the Trash Talk Shows: Maruy, Jerry Springer, Ricky Lake, Montel, Sally Jesse Raphael.

5. Step by Step
I loved TGIF, and this was definitely my fave. I don't think I "got" the show at the time- you know the whole "Step" thing- we'll make it better the 2nd time around... but I loved that Cody lived in a van in the back yard.
I think I want to go back and watch it all over again after watching these clips. There is a reason that we all started getting TOO emotionally involved in relationships WAY too young- and I'm convinced it is this show.
Now Corey & Topanga on the other hand. Their puppy love is so be admired. We could have learned a thing or 2 from them.
2. Full House
Whatever happened to predicability? The milk man, the paper boy, the evening TV? What happened to it!? How much more predictable could you get than this show? And all other "Family" themed sitcoms of the 90's? But it was so good. I'm sure we could all go back and remember what our favorite Full House moment was. I have to confess, that ABCfamily rekindled this love in my heart in college, and I definitely watched every episode all over again.

I feel kind of weird even including it as I will probably watch it on a regular basis for the rest of my life. I don't think I really watched it that much until the late 90's either. But I have to say, it is the best result of the entertainment industry of the 90's.

I mentioned in my music post that I watched this movie every weekend with a friend for months. I could recite the whole {extremely inappropriate} movie by heart. And it was filth. But I LOVED it.

Is it me, or is conceptually this movie really creepy!? I used to not understand why Miranda got so upset when she found out the truth about Mrs. Doubtfire, but who wouldn't!? Creepy.
However, I LOVE it. And could quote it all. And could even do the dance on the table at the birthday party.

Only served to fuel my love for Ben. I think I saw this one several times in the theater. And cried every time.

It speaks for itself. It was the movie of the 90's. I saw it 7 times in the movie theater {1,358 minutes in total} stood in the back the first time because the theater was so packed, and drug the same poor boy at least 4 of those 7 times. What teenage girl didn't put this one at the top of their list?
And now I live in a country where the college age girls are just as obsessed as we were in 1997 and you hear, "My Heart Will Go On" in public or in someone's dorm room at least once a week. It will forever live on.
SO those are the highlights from the 90's from me. At least I look back and that's what comes to mind.
I think the clothes & fashion trends made the 90's as awesome as they were, so get excited, that's coming next.
