This year I decided that I wanted to make my own wrapping paper. Since I live here... where they don't sell Christmas wrapping paper.
I bought large sheets of paper at the little stationary store under our building, and used paint.
I found a fun idea on pinterest to make little stamps out of foam stickers and bottle caps.
Someone sent a little thing from the dollar spot at Target that had Christmas foam stickers, so I used a few of those to make candy canes and snow flakes.
To make the candy canes, I used white paint and after it dried make stripes with a red marker. Kinda monotonous.... but cute.
I used it for some of these presents.
For the green with polka dots, I just dipped a little pom pom in paint and dabbed it all over the paper.
I made little snowflakes with blue paint & the foam stamp. I had a lot of paint leftover, so I made some swirlies.
I wrapped Anna's present with it, with this fun flower paper & yellow ribbon around it.
I had big plans for the snowflakes. Then Adam came walking out with my big present wrapped in it {bottom right hand corner}. I was a little sad. But happy that he gave me a giant foot warming box.
Then for the rest I used a few other things kind of like
last year.
I used some Ikea wrapping paper for these. I think they look kind Swedish.
And that's all. I think I'm going to make all of my wrapping paper from now on. I do like a lot of the DIY ideas out there. Like using stencils and the bottom of a celery stalk.
